Our story
Since I was a teenager, I’ve been designing jewellery for myself. My style never quite fit the norm, and I could rarely find pieces that truly felt like me. Creating my own jewellery became a way to express who I am.
After several attempts in traditional jobs that never made sense to me, I realised I needed something more meaningful. Later, while working from home on a personal project that mattered a lot to me, a health challenge gradually forced me to rethink my plans - and that’s when I decided to dive fully into jewellery making.
I’ve always loved chokers, but finding ones that were vegan and durable was nearly impossible. When I was twenty, I tried to craft my first satin choker - but the metallic clamps kept slipping, and I had to use glue to keep it together. It wasn’t perfect, but it planted the seed. Years later, when I founded Reckless, I came back to that idea and refined it. Today, I create satin chokers with a solid, innovative fastening system - double stitching and acrylic clasps. Each piece is handmade, unique, and impossible to find anywhere else.
Along the way, I met people who couldn’t wear what they loved because of their body shape or size. That deeply stayed with me. So, I decided that Reckless would offer three sizes - because style should never be limited by gender or body type. Everyone deserves to wear what makes them feel good.
And yes - my creations are often bold, sometimes even oversized. That’s intentional. As a woman, I grew up being told to be discreet, sweet, refined... But that’s never been who I am. I love statement pieces that make you stand out - not disappear. Reckless is about embracing that boldness : even when the world tells you to shrink yourself, dare to be yourself.
